Title: Desperate need info on mailrules
Post by: Charlie on March 30, 2003, 08:43:41 PM
My domain is being hit by a spammer that is sending thousands of emails to random names hoping to get one correct. The server bounces  the message and the bounce bounces. Thats 3 messages for every one bad message. I understand that the Darrell May mailrules rpm will allow me to just delete mail to unknown users without a bounce. I can only find the rpm for SME5.6 and I have SME5.5.  Can I use this rpm? If not, can someone email me the correct one.

I upgraded 5.5 to the latest version of mailfront and installed the RPM with the --nodeps switch, but it didn't work. I'm not sure why, and I haven't seen a 5.5 version.

Try searching for "doublebounce" also, for information on handling bounced bounces.
