Title: Email access outside local network

e-smith is up and going, however I cannot access email accounts from an IP address
outside the local net. I saw a posting about  ETRN, is this what I need or do I change a
qmail setting?

REMOTE ACCESS TO E-MAIL:  Hi Van!!  You have two options in accessing your email from a machine outside of your local network.  Option 1:  you can disable the TCP wrapper that prohibits local net access.  Option 2:  you can install an SSH server on the e-smith server and gateway and SSH clients on the remote machines.  (See the previous bboard message for instructions in downloading and installing SSH).  Regards!  K.
