Title: FTP....can't seem to find how to work
Post by: Techno on May 05, 2001, 08:01:31 PM
HEY all...
is there a way for me to setup a ftp on a local workstation instead of the e-smith?
I would love to be able to do this.......

Why would you want to do that when e-smith already comes with a very secure implementation of ftp? What sort of workstation is it? Linux or Windows?

it's a linux workstation, but with a 100 gig raid, which with limited driver support, i can not for the life of me get running under e-smith, the ftp works fine (it is anon) but you cannot do anon under e-smith (or so i as told) so maybe a port redirection? (plus the worstation is ultra ata 100 (yes i know IDE) which seems to only work right with kernel 2.4.x, (am i right?)
