Hi,
Trying to install 5.6u3 (samba) update on a 5.6u2 server gives me the following error:
--------------------------------------
package samba-2.2.7a-1es1 (which is newer than samba-2.2.7-3.7.3es1) is already installed
package samba-client-2.2.7a-1es1 (which is newer than samba-client-2.2.7-3.7.3es1) is already installed
package samba-common-2.2.7a-1es1 (which is newer than samba-common-2.2.7-3.7.3es1) is already installed
--------------------------------------
Anybody any idea why?
TIA
Regards,

RequestedDeletion,
You haven't by any chance upgraded samba previously, have you :)

duh....
I must be getting 'digiblind'
thx for the heads-up Jon.

I also get the same response when installing v5.6 update3.
I did previously upgrade to Charlie's samba-2.2.7a-1es1 release, so I guess it's OK.

It's important to update to the newer 2.2.7-3.7.3es1 (or even 2.2.8a) rpms, as the 2.2.7a versions have security bugs.
