Title: sme webmail (imp 3.x) question
Post by: Daley on April 17, 2003, 07:25:01 AM
Hi All,

1. Is it a way that we can disable the "redirect" mail feature inside the webmail system?

2. How can I let users change their password through IMP?

Thank you.
Daley

i've managed to get it set up to allow users to change their password within imp on an e-smith installation, and i was about half-way through writing a faq for it when my computer crashed and burned.

short description of what's needed: you'll need a poppassd server, the password module for horde (it's a part of the 'sork' package i think), configure horde and imp for the password module and change a bunch of the templates so it continues to work after an upgrade.

i might finish writing the faq tonight for something to do; if i do i'll post here to let you know :)

good news, and how is possible that we can also disable the "redirect" mail feature inside the imp webmail system?

Thank you,
Daley

I don't believe that is possible.  Why would you want to?

Hi,

If we have receive the redirected email, properly we may not be aware abt that, because it doesn't has any indication to inform the recipient, further, the email header doesn't include additional heading, the whole mail msg exactly the same without any different and can't tell who is the right sender of the msg.

unlike the normal mail forwarding or reply, it tells who is sender, recipient etc... it sure will confuse the user!!!

Thank you,
Daley

Well, like I said, I don't think it's possible.  Take a look at the imp config files and see if there's a setting I missed, and/or check on the horde.org mailing lists to see if they have any ideas.

I'm sure it's possible - he'll just need to modify the PHP code which adds those buttons.
