Title: Upgrade PHP on 5.6
Post by: grape on April 23, 2003, 11:57:35 PM
Are there any how-to's out there covering an upgrade of php to v. 4.2.1 on SME 5.6? I was only able to find one for older SME releases and was wondering if there were any changes that would create problems.

thanks,

Steve

I found it at:
http://mirror.contribs.org/smeserver/contribs/nightspirit/e-smith-php_upgrade/

I am not sure how well the upgrade went - I am having a hard time getting my horde-cvs installation to find the pear libraries, even though it recognizes that I have an appropriate version of php running. Somehow it seems awfully odd that php could be upgraded by simply upgrading the packages. On the other hand the normal webmail works and my other php applications run fine. I will continue beating on it and see what I can come up with. It might very well be an incorrect path in one of my configuration files.
