Title: e-smith in the news....
Post by: Roald Opsahl on November 25, 1999, 01:22:45 PM
Just thought you all would appreciate this article:

"Email to Dili - you have got to be joking!"

which you can find on

     http://www.caa.org.au/groups/IT/dili/index.html

I know that this is old news to some of the main contributors to
this phorum, in fact, from what I see, you wrote it! But as I
haven't seen a link to it here, I think it needs wider distribution.

I want to congratulate all who participated in the project described
in the article, I think others will join me in taking pleasure in two things:

     * e-smith works for real things
     * people working on e-smith cares about things outside of computers

Again,

Congratulations and thanks to all of you!

Thanks Roald.  Charlie and Gordon did a great job on the article. :-)

Yep, Gordon and I wrote it. And you didn't see a link here because it had only been up a few hours when it appeared on LinuxToday, and I didn't want to scoop Kim on the press release
she has been preparing... But someone else beat us both to the punch.

Thank you!

Sorry for messing up that press release thing! Was it ever released?

How silly of me not to understand that you were a gentleman yielding to a lady,
I thought you were plain old shy, like other geeks!
