Title: e-smith-mailfront-1.0.0-02rbl.noarch.rpm problems
Post by: Thomas on May 05, 2003, 11:49:03 AM
Hi all,

I've installed the mailfront rpm on my SME 5.5, but nothing changes in my server manager. Shouldn't I get a new panel of some sort?

I've installed the rpm via the server managers rpm install panel.

Hope someone can help.

Regards
Thomas

No manager panel,

manually edit /service/smtpfront-qmail/rblsmtpd.conf

one dbl (ordb) is already in this file....simply continue adding servers with a '-r' infront of each one.  the qoutes will follow the last server.

you can then test your blocking by sending an email to ordb (see ordb faq).  Send it from an account on your sme server.  you will know within minutes if the block worked.  spamhaus.org also has an email test.

good luck,

ryan

http://cr.yp.to/ucspi-tcp/rblsmtpd.html has more info on what can go in that file. You can also use "-a good.server.com" for anti-RBLs, like bondedsender.org.
