Title: system rebooting

I have installed SME 5.6 on a compaq 5500 quad zeon 500 1.5 GB ram Compaq raid with 152gb.

The system is not stable, it reboots onits own and I am not able to find what might be causing this to happen. Can anyone provide direction to resolve this problem

sounds like a hardware problem'... Did you try the 'memcheck' contrib from Charlie B?

Does your Proliant have the LCD display installed?  If it does, the 'Events' section may give you a clue.  It runs fine on our DP Proliant 3000.
