Title: SYSTEM UPGRADE ADVISE

I am having problem conecting to my server using the https, from a remote location.  I can connect fine from the local network. I installed a package, but then deleted all the files when I did not do what I expected.  That is the time https stopped working altogether.  I cannot connect for mail or server-manager using https:  I thought about just installing the ISO for 5.6.  I am currently at 5.5.  My question:  I have outlook express setup to sync my IMAP mail server.  If I wipe the drive and load teh 5.6 iso, will I also lose my mail that is synced in outlook?  If so, is there a way to save my mesages?  THANKS!

make a backup via the server manager and install 5.6. Mail is preserved for all users.

I have tried to do the restore on a different 5.6 box.  but it failed.  Any other suggestions?  Do you know what file or directory I should copy or save to a fileserver before installing 5.6 on this box?
