Title: bug in linux-kernel
Post by: Klaus Eckert on May 19, 2003, 01:38:46 PM
the security-company Secunia ( http://www.secunia.com ) has detected a bug in the linux-kernel 2.4.
this bug kann be used for a DOS-attack.
sending 400 bad ip-packets per second to a machine, this machine will stop working.
the problem is the hash-table where the ip-packets are sorted into.
redhat supports a patch for redhat 7.1 to redhat 9.

should i use the redhat-patch or will there be a patch from e-smith?

cheers klaus

Hi,

Have you sent to bugs@e-smith.com? If so that's where you would send.

This is not really the place

Thanks
