Title: HELP getting ISDN working

Hi
I have running e-smith on an SMPboard (asus PCI/I54NP4D) and most functions running very fine :o)
But i cant start the AVM ISDN Fritzcard PCI 2.0 !!
I followed the steps in Howto: "How can I make e-smith accept a passive
ISDN-Card as DialOut-Device?" but the card wont work anyway.

"lspci" is listing the card as:
00:04.0 Network controller: AVM Audiovisuelles MKTG & Computer System GmbH:
Unknown device 0e00 (rev 01)


insmod says:

[root@guard de]# insmod hisax type=27 protocol=2
Using /lib/modules/2.2.16-22smp/misc/hisax.o
/lib/modules/2.2.16-22smp/misc/hisax.o: unresolved symbol
register_isdn_Rsmp9fc70046


"depmod -a" has no erormessage

modprobe says:

[root@guard de]# modprobe hisax type=27 protocol=2

I amworking a few days now with this Problem but i dont have any idea how to fix it.

PLZ if anyone is able to help, do it :o)

This indicates that your card is not recognised by the driver  version included with e-smith version 4.1.2. The information here might be useful to you - my German isn't good enough to say:

I'll try that.
Just as i started downloading these files, i found the files downloaded before :o)
(any other before session i tryed to fix the problem *g*)

hi again charlie
while reading the the readme files following bad message jumped to my eyes:
It is not possible to use the HylaFAX interface "CAPI4Hylafax" with the
ISDN4LINUX package (not a CAPI 2.0 interface).

I think in e-smith ISDN4Linux is used so i would better not install these packages :o)

the capi 2.0 package seems to be just for SUSE from 6.3 to 7.1 so i'm not shure if i should install one of these or wich one :o)

any more ideas ?

Get an external ISDN TA. They are *known* to work with e-smith. :-)
