HI,
I'm running e-smith as server/gateway with 2 network cards. One is connected to the modem and the other to the internal network with a HUB. I'm configured it to connect automatically with adsl (mxstream) at startup.
At first time everything works okay. Connection is okay.
Only.. after a restart, i can't make a new connection, at first I've to restart the modem. And then it works..
Anybody any idea why this happens.???

Dear Ren, how in the world did you get thus far? I am still looking for an instruction to set up e-smith for Mxtream properly with two cards on the Linux-machine. Do you know one? Regards, Bernhard

For information on setting up your e-smith box with adsl (in fact mxstream in The Netherlands, but I guess it will work too in your case) see this site:

Hi Ren,
Is there any chance that you can help me with my xs4all / e-smith server with two nics.
I´ve tried some different config´s in the e-smith config console but didn´t succeed yet. Iám running vpn and adsl from a single laptop at the moment.
Before I had an isdn connection up and running with e-smith as server/gateway.
From reading your email adress I noticed you´re an xs4all user as well.
Would you be so kind to help a fellow e-smith xs4all user.
Alvast bedankt /kind regards
Emiel

Hai Emiel,
We started a Dutch forum-subject about ADSL/MxStream on www.e-smith.nl. As soon as we finished testing with ADSL and XS4all, you will find the 'ideal' config for your situaton there
