Title: Samba as Windows Domain Member
Post by: gbl on June 08, 2003, 01:06:19 PM
Hi there.

I´m trying implementing my SME56 Box as a Windows Domain Member.

I have to setup following:
- a Share on that two WindowsGroups have access named filestore_write and filestore_read
- the Administration of the Useraccounts is a Part of the Windows Admin. On Linux there must not a Useraccount (periodic Passwordchange)

I have done:
- Linux is a Windows Domainmember
    "net computer \linux /add" and "smbpasswd -j DOMAIN -r COMPUTERNAME -U ADMINACCONT"

- edited smb.conf Template to get some shares
     security = DOMAIN
- edited nsswitch.conf Template to ask Windows Account

My Problem is: it does not work!

Is there step by step Manual?
