Title: no more log in /var/log/qmail/current
Post by: benja on June 13, 2003, 07:42:05 AM
Hi,

I've no more log in /var/log/qmail/current. My mail server is working fine but the activity log are now displayed on the console and not in the current file. The last line in this file are :

@400000003ee911373b20601c status: local 0/10 remote 0/20
@400000003ee911f5170837a4 alert: oh no! lost spawn connection! dying...
@400000003ee911f5170881dc alert: oh no! lost spawn connection! dying...
@400000003ee911f51708a504 status: exiting

I try to reboot the server whitout success. Any idea on how to restore original behaviour ?

Thanks,

Hello,
I compare the running process on 2 SME (ps -efl | grep qmail). One is logging in /var/log/qmail/current and mine not. I saw that one processs is missing on my server : "/usr/local/bin/multilog t s5000000 /var/log/qmail".

I try to run it manually, the process succesfully create /var/log/qmail/current. I send an email but no log in this file.

I thing that this process shoiuld be launch during the init process. Does anyone know where and when ?

Thanks
benja
