Title: Installing LaTex on 5.6
Post by: guestHH on June 18, 2003, 01:24:03 PM
Hi,

Can anybody point me to the right direction installing LaTex on a 5.6 system?

I'm a bit confused about the naming and versions. A short how-to would be much appreciated.

TIA and regards,
guestHH

It's RedHat 7.3 underneath. Just use the RH7.3 packages for tetex,
and it should work fine.

Thanks Michael,

The point is _what_ do you need to get Latex installed rather then what version. You're talking about tetex...?

Thanks

Ah, well, that question isn't really an SME question then, is it? I suggest you check out the Tex User's Group at http://www.tug.org.

The short answer is, install the tetex packages from RH7.3.
