Title: Backing up User Folders via Windows
Post by: Ron on June 25, 2003, 02:18:03 AM
Hello everyone,
I hope someone can help me here.  I make a backup via Windows 2000 or XP for all the ibays, but User Folders can not be backed up via Windows 2000 backup software. Anyone knows if what do I need to do to backup the home/user folders?
Thanks in advance...!

Hi Ron,
I use Darrell May's backup2workstation, works great for me, they get done every night automatically.
Hope this helps,
Del

Another solution is to make a custom smb.conf template that shares the /home/e-smith/files/users directory. Map to a drive letter on your windows machine and you should be good to go.

Backup2ws is better though.
