Hi,
I've set up the dynamic dns, using my free account at dyndns.org. I would like to know how to tell the server what address to use (e.g. myserver.homeip.net)?

Ok, I figured out that I need to set my server name to myserver.homeip.net. Now I'm getting in the logs
Jun 25 13:37:42 quicktrav dyndns.org: homeip.net does not exist on the dyndns.org system.
What else could be wrong? Also where is dyndns.org called from? I took a look around ip-up, etc but couldn't find it

as far as I recall SME server version of DynDNS.org extension supports only predefined DNS ,you should enter DynDNS.org members area and define the name as you would like to use....

Hi,
Managed to sort it out. The action update-dns, called by ip-change event, only passes domain name. I prefixed it with systemname. and all is well.

This indicates that you have the wrong domain name set. Your domain name must be set to the full name that dyndns.org knows you by. The system name can be anything you like.
