Hello everyone. I'm setting up a 5.6 system for a client and I'm having a problem that I can't seem to solve. I'm getting the following message when the system boots:
Dec 24 14:46:49 smeserver depmod: depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.4.18-5-e-smith/kernel/drivers/net/ppp_generic.o
It seemed to have started after I installed freeswan. Is this anything I need to worry about? I'm going to be using this system for the server side of a freeswan ipsec vpn and an occasional pptp connection. Will this affect the vpn or gateway masq operations of the server?
Thanks for any help,
Sterling

Gday,
I am having the exact same problem. I am not a linux guru but it seems as though the FreeSwan package installs fine however the system is using the right kernal???
As whenever I try to issue the command "service ipsec start" i get screens of unresolved symbols.
Anyone else had any luck??
Steve.
