Title: still no chmod
Post by: mike on June 26, 2003, 08:09:40 AM
sorry for the rant, but after a week of playing with the config files I still can not chmod from ftp within an IBay, anyone got any ideas??

I have on cust who will not use ssh to access his server, and he is threatening to MS if i don't fix this for him.

Give up on the idea of chmod, and try to organise your data in i-bays set up with the appropriate permissions. We've disable chmod for security and reliability reasons, and because it just isn't strictly necessary.
