Title: flexbackup
Post by: Marco Garza on July 07, 2003, 09:38:54 AM
Hi all,

Just installed a ide tape backup.  It is a 10gb/20gb drive.  The only way I can get the server to have a good backup is to have less then 10gb of data on it.  Does flexbackup compress the data?  If not, is there a contrib to add compression?

TIA

Marco,

This is a line from my flexbackup.conf

$nocompress_types = 'mp3 Z z gz gif zip lha jpeg jpg taz tgz deb rpm bz2';

The above file extensions will not be compresses (or futher compressed).

Are you backing up a lot of these types of files?

Marco,

It might help if you posted the error messages.
