Hi,
Does anyone implement the radius server on sme55/56? what are differences between the sme-radius-1.0-1.i386.rpm from e-smith.dyndns.org and freeradius-snapshot20030427-0.1.9.i386.rpm from naturalnetworks.net?
Thank you.

My friend already installed sme-radius-1.0-1.i386.rpm on my system. According to him, this version only records log files and do not have any web interface like the freeradius. Can anybody suggest any Radius software for SME that behaves like freeradius?

I am not aware of any web-interface on any freeradious version. I have installed 1.00 and tried to get my WLAN authenticated - but so far without any luck. The problem I have is not the installation but rather the certificates that needs to be done for XP/Win2K to work :-(

I installed freeradius-0.9.3.rpm on a redhat basis.
It works ok, just like the sme.1.0
Your problem must be in your config-files.
Everything can be found in /etc/raddb
You should look for the clients.conf file...

Ok has anyone gotte nthe new web interface from freeradius working and if so how did you do it?
I have had good luck getting things to work on my SME
server and this is the last bit I need to get working.
I am still not sure if my radius server is working correctly yet or not.
I am an extreme newb at the linux alone along with
SME.
I had been looking for a server like SME for almost a year when I finally stumbled on it and it does everything I want built in except the radius server.
Free radius does have a web gui for administering users and I could use help getting this to work.
Thanks in advance
Ken.
