Title: Dialup configuration, possible ?
Post by: Norman Uittenbogaart on May 24, 2001, 04:03:11 AM
I have a cable modem that uses the com-port/dialup as a login.
When I config e-smith it will not connect.
It is supposed to be configured just like a normal dialup modem.

Now what I think that it is, is that the initialisation string is invalid.
The only command it should give is ATZ and ATDT4 (4 is the number to call)
Is there a method to change this because I saw in the config files some other initialisation strings.

Thanks,

Norman

You posted the same question twice. I answered the other one. There is a Dutch forum for e-smith on www.e-smith.nl
