You can't forward a port that's already in use. This has been discussed many times before; try doing a search (and be sure to search all dates).

Good Morning,
Am curious, what contrib did you use for your port forwarding? I have used Mr. May's with great success. Look on contribs.org or www.myezserver.com for the contrib.

Ehmm maybe a strange idea... not sure it would work. How about making a redirect page on your sme to point to the NT4 (external IP with different port) wich would use external port 8080 or something like that and internally it would use port 80. Use the portforewarding tool to set the portforewarding up and write the html code yourself or look for it using google.
I think it should work but perhaps I'm just giving you some really stupid advise.... in which case... ieps! sorry!

first stop the http-service on the SME-box.
then open the port 80 (it will be closed automatic when the according service is stopped)
after this forward the port 80 to your winNT-box.
this schould work fine.

Yep that should work .... though two things remain. Does this not also mean you lose the server manager page? Second how do you do that considering e-smiths templates might at some point revive the stopped service.
It does look like it would work though no doubt. Am sure interested if there are some other ideas floating around. ;-)

Ok,I using for fowarding the portfowarding tools which is in the web console of SME, if i stop this service, i can use this console too????. I you say yes, I think if i make a reboot of SME Server is the same to your solution???.
And the Portfowarding works with SME 5.6U4???, becasue i try to foward a port 1555 to mi NT-box and i fails with this.
Thank you for your help, i'm so gracefull!!!. Sorry for my English.-
