Hello!
I am using Ver5.6
When email gets checked (sorry am using outlook) using pop then the first time I get a time out. The second time the emails fly over!
I have restarted the server, and client but this doesnt stop. The first time it gets checked then I get a timeout!
Any experiences/help ??

strange... do you have a firewall on your client? Firsttime I used it i got these timeouts aswell because of the client firewall. Don't know if newer firewalls have fixed this....
Otherwise I have no ideas ... sorry.

Hi Schotty
What means "fly over" Might be a problem of "pop before smtp". Im still using outlook with gmx. I have two email-adresses for my account. On the sme I use multidrop with the mailadress, I use to send mail with the second adress of my account. So the sme connects to gmx, logs into the account with the first adress and when the second adress logs in, the account is still open and I can send my mails.
That solution is also descibed in the gmx-faq for direct outlook access to gmx.
Otherwise there is a tgz.file for the sme < 5.5. Versions >5.5 use obtuse-smtp with mailfront. I havent tried that.
