Title: Not enough RAM
Post by: gbl on July 26, 2003, 02:50:11 PM
I´m trying to install SME5.6 and/or SME 6.0 beta 2 (booting from CDROM) on a Compaq Proliant 2500 Server witch contains 380MB of RAM.

SME Server says that there is not enough RAM!

Of course, I run SMART START 5.4 and updated the BIOS to the last Version of it.

Any Ideas?

Some of the older Compaqs do not return the correct memory at startup.
Look at: http://www.cpqlinux.com/pl2500.html for more information.

If you do a seach in the forum you find the following

accept = mem=exactmap mem=640K@0 mem=191M@1M

This works Replace mem=191M@1M with your memory size
