Hello All,
I found this web site http://www.inprotect.com, which has a web based frontend to nessus and nmap. I am interested to see if I can get this working on SME6B2. I am not sure if SME is the right platform or has all the tools to run nessus/nmap. Take a look at the documentation on thier website. If anyone is interested, I wish to work together to get it running, Any takers ??

If it helps at all, NMAP compiles fine from sourcecode. I have version 3.00 running. Not sure about Nessus, what is that?

Nessus is a security scanner http://www.nessus.org. I was able to install both NMAP and Nessus on the SME 6b2 box, but needed to install several RPM's to get it to compile, such as gcc, flex, bison and several others. I do not have the list in front of me, or any type of howto at this time. I used the Windows Nessus client NessusWX ( http://www.nessus.org/related/index.html ). and I am able to connect to the Nessus Server and run security scans on internal and well as Internet sites. The Inprotect Project is a webbased front end to Nessus and thought it would be a nice project. You can have clients or potential clients use this tool and show them what a security guru you are and possible receive revenue by repairing their Internet Holes and vulnerabilities.
