Title: Primary html page accessible only by https , SSL...
Post by: steve l on July 27, 2003, 08:01:11 PM
Friday I discovered that my webpage on my primary html folder was accessible only by SSL.

Has this happened to anyone else and where would I got to check config files to make changes.

I scoured my logfiles and didnt find any clues. This could be because of my ignorance so any advice of which log or logs to zero in on.

I am running 5.6 with all patches applied. I do have several of the most popular and stable contribs. I dont make custom hacks etc. I did run a chkrootkit and this came back clean.

Perhaps your ISP blocks port 80.

I wondered if that was the problem. Do you know how I can confirm that port 80 is being blocked with out calling Cox Communications and asking them. Their tech support is not the most  knowledgeable.

What are the popular ports to block by ISPs , 80 and 25? Also do you know  how to reset the port # so I can test it out?

Thanks for your help.
