ok firsting thing i have searched and goggled the net for a bit
now what i want to do is throttle a certain user and leave the other user to max speed, im cursing the day i ever showed my sister how to download things now she wont stop, is their a RPM where i can limit user bandwidth per ip, ive tried a few others but they basically make it so that every one gets a fair share, but sicne i pay for the net i think i should get to hog the bandwidth
also is their a good RPM that alows me to show how much each user has downloaded by IP, im using SARG bt that dosent show me total bandwith use
Thanks

take a look at contribs.org
Ntop for tracking usage and cbq for bandwidth management. i believe that cbq's last version gave you the oportunity to limit bandwidth for specific IP's.
Hope this helps.

Hmmpfr yep dead as a doornail. You should report it to the webmaster and/or the contributor... me? Too lazy right now besides should be working ;-). I have a recent release on my server at home so maybe I still have the rpm lying around somewhere. If you want I'll take a look once I'm home and send it to you by e-mail.
I believe it was a beta, not sure, so be advised using it is at your own risk!

Hello Jan, any chance you can email this contrib to me as well. I am trying to configure CBQ, and it would be helpfull.
Thanks for your time.

Marc,
Done. I just checked at contribs.org and found the rpm is back. See: http://wiki.contribs.org/e-smith/contrib/eneo/RPMS/noarch/eneo-qos_cbq-0.1-05.noarch.rpm .
So if anyone else is interested in this rpm you can find it in the contrib area of "eneo".

Jan
