Title: Cannot access web server / server manager
Post by: Baronne on August 26, 2003, 02:57:44 PM
Hi,

I seem to have lost access to my web server via the web based console. In fact I can't even see the "home" page for the server.... I can ping the server, I know it's there because I can access the console... any ideas?

regards,

Baronne Mouton

have you restarted http-admin? do service http-admin restart or check the status by typing service http-admin status

can you access via http://yourdomain.com:980

Kind Regards

Hi,

Thanks for the help.. I get the following when I try and do the restart or status :

[root@intranet root]# service http-admin restart
http-admin: unrecognized service

and...

[root@intranet root]# http-admin status
bash: http-admin: command not found

seems like a bit of a problem there.... any ideas?

stoopid me!! sorted it... I was typing http-admin instead of httpd-admin. It wasn't working because I had changed a squid template incorrectly and it screwed up the httpd.

cheers
