Title: 137GB barrier on SME 6.0beta3

Has anybody succeeded installing SME 6.0beta3 on a Maxtor Maxline II 250 or 300 GB drive? Is any specific hardware needed such as 48-Bit LBA compliant ATA/ATAPI controller or RAID controller?

Hi,
You'll need controller that supports 48bit lba. Fortunately, most mainboards these days have bios upgrades that will support this. I upgraded my old a7v133 to rev 1010 which support 48bit lba.
