Title: Problems with dynamic dns services
Post by: Nathan Lundholm on August 29, 2003, 08:41:57 AM
I found the dynamic DNS service I want to use with Esmith 5.0 but it's not one of the ones it lists.  How do I install my dynamic DNS update client?

Hi,

Do what I have tried once and install your own dynamic dns client for that network.  A good simple one that I have tried with dyndns.org is:
ez-ipupdate
http://www.dyndns.org/services/dyndns/clients.html?action=jump;id=19
or
ddclient
http://members.rogers.com/ddclient/pub/ddclient.tar.gz
or
ipcheck
http://ipcheck.sourceforge.net/ipcheck.py

just install it like you would any application and configure it for your dyndns provider.

Hope this helps.
