I installed e-smith-userpanel-1.0-11.noarch.rpm, perl-Unicode-IMAPUtf7-1.02-1.i386.rpm, perl-Unicode-String-2.06-1.i386.rpm on an 4.1.2 machine running in servergateway mode. If i choose userpanelaccess from the web-frontend it says

Can't locate esmith/event.pm in @INC (@INC contains: /usr/lib/perl5/5.6.0/i386-linux /usr/lib/perl5/5.6.0 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.6.0/i386-linux /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.6.0 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl) at /etc/e-smith/web/panels/manager/cgi-bin/userpanelaccess line 37.

As i understand this, it's looking for a file which is not in the path. I checked for event.pm via "find / event.pm" but it is not on this machine. I did some web-searches for "event.pm" but had no luck. How to get event.pm?

I believe that version you installed is quite old, you might want to go to http://dungog.com for latest versions

Beats me.

I've figured out what's the matter. Event.pm is not delivered with 4.1.2. I will try to use the Perl CPAN Module to upgrade to Perl 5.8 but i think i've read some issues about that, like it will not compile on a machine with osvers=2.2.5-22smp.

And yes, i'm thinking about an upgrade.
