I have a system that doesn't boot from CD. So i set up the hard drive on a p4 system and installed esmith and made a boot floppy. However when i put the hard drive back into the P1 system Linux crashes. Is there a way to install esmith without booting from a cd.???????

Good Evening,
Read this: http://www.e-smith.org/docs/howto/Boot_floppy_howto.php3 Found it in two clicks off of the e-smith.org website.

Good Evening,
So I'm assuming that you want 275+ floppy diskettes? Every E-Smith/SME ISO since 4.x that I've ever burned has been a bootable CD without a choice. Follow the instructions that I gave you and set your CMOS/BIOS to boot off the floppy. There isn't a "non-bootable" CD that I know of.
