Hi,
I've just spent all day setting up VOCP (http://www.vocpsystem.com/) the way I wanted on my SME 6.0b3 server. Now I have a voicemail system I've always wanted. :)
Now my problem is the fax part. The server is running SME but all the other machines on the LAN are running WinXP. How can I send a fax from one of the XP computers ie. create a .g3 file?
Ideally I'd like to set up a networked fax printer on the SME server that anyone can print to, and maybe have it e-mail received faxes in a PC readable format (not this .g3 stuff.... argh!), but really, it doesn't need to be this automated, I expect to be using faxes once in a blue moon.
I realize Hylafax can do this, and there are some nice HOWTOs on that, but Hylafax seem to require a million different packages which I'd rather not install, and also I'm not sure if it's compatible with VOCP. (which would answer calls first, and normally drops the call back to mgetty if it's a fax call, or so I gather - dunno if it could redirect the call to Hylafax or not).
Thanks for any help!

Gyula,
Have you done a howto for your VOCP installation? VOCP looks waay cool!

Hi Sean,
Alas I have not, and I don't have the time right now. :( The instructions on the vocp site are pretty good, just get the Redhat 7.3 RPMs from rpmfind.net for anything they need. The only complicated part was installing the dev rpms so CPAN could install some of the Perl modules VOCP requires. Oh, and configuring it without X was... interesting. :)
One of these days I'll write it up properly.. but don't hold your breath. :)

Hi,
I try to install VOCP.
I do not manage to compile Audio-DSP-0.02, Crypt-Blowfish-2.09, Crypt-CBC-2.08, Tk804.025.
I think that it is normal for Audio-DSP-0.02, Tk804.025.
I will like to know what you have to install (vgetty, vocp, xvocp, vocphax, vocpweb, call center, box conf) and how you made for Crypt-Blowfish-2.09, Crypt-CBC-2.08 .
