Does anyone know where to obtain this patch? The topic came up recently, and it looks like I now need to use an authenticating outgoing SMTP service because of increasing ISP vigilance.
Problem is the original host of the qmail-smtp-auth-send patch (cyberphoria) no longer exists, and I can't find it anywhere else on the Web.
If anyone's got a copy I'd appreciate if they'd send it to me, or let me know where I can donwload it at present. I think the complete file is
qmail-smtp-auth-send.0.0.1.tgz.
TIA

OK, found the answer - kind of.
This patch - http://mdcc.cx/qmail-auth-send-tls/ - supports auth-send with TLS encryption, which I don't need. However, it's built on top of the patch I was looking for, and can be compiled without TLS support by removing "-DTLS" from the cc flags (in conf-cc).
This appears to end up the same as the qmail-smtp-auth-send patch, and builds without needing openssl.
It's compiled successfully anyway - I haven't put it into practice yet :)
