Title: Newish compiled chkrootkit available anywhere?
Post by: Jens Kruuse on September 22, 2003, 11:36:26 PM
Hi there,

I run chkrootkit semi-regularly but noticed that it is getting a bit "old". The latest version available at http://www.acenet-tech.org/cdj/chkrootkit/ is from early February 2003.

I would compile it myself but I don't have developer tools on my 5.6U5 box, and my other pc is running Gentoo with later gcc and glibc. Could one of the people with developer tolls please compile chkrootkit?

Cheers
Jens

Thank you. Sometimes it is tricky to find the files in the contribs directories as they are sorted by contributor. I'm all for giving credit, but it doesn't help when you need to find some stuff.

Cheers,
Jens

Jens,

yup it is a bit difficult, but then again it was not there before your request ;-)
