I'm your Huckleberry... ;-)
Well, as soon as someone can come out with a howto to install it.. :-P

I was going to try it out... there is a RH 7.3 RPM for it here:
http://us4.samba.org/samba/ftp/Binary_Packages/RedHat/RPMS/i386/7.3/

Look at the 2.2.8a spec file to include the same features that Mitel makes.
-
This might be important with new vulnerabilities found in Samba?
-
Johan excuse my ignorance but what/where is this spec file? This is found in the src rpm's right? Also you say 2.2.8.a but isn't it 2.2.7 (3.7.3es1) for SME 5.6U5?
Thanks?

I have a "test" 6.0 beta 3 box just waiting for Samba 3.0. I just need someone to tell me exactly how-to do it - or give me the packages to install. Looking forward to SME with Samba 3...I have read some very good things about the new Samba!

Drew,
There's no better way to learn how to do this stuff than jumping in head first. Since you have a test box just waiting for Sambe 3, you are in a perfect postion to try it without hurting anything. Download the RH 7.3 rpms, install them and see what happens. If they install OK, but samba doesnt' work, then do a little research at www.samba.org and/or post a question here.
This is what GNU is all about. I don't think I'm too far off base is saying that most of the people here are graduates of Linux school of hard knocks. :)

Good info here. I have an old box here that I'm going to try to blow away and put SME6b3 as well as Samba 3. I'll detail things as I get to it..hopefully I can get to it next week sometime :)
