Title: Redirect all web traffic to squid proxy?
Post by: Dale Bannick on June 06, 2001, 06:41:58 PM
Hi, I am using E-smith v4.11. How do I redirect all web users to go thru the squid proxy instead of going straight to the internet. I am blocking some websites with squid but I have some users who like to play. I know theirs an ipchains command for that. Any ideas would be greatful

there is a rpm "esmith-transproxy.xxxxx" I can't recall the correct name,
but you should find it somewhere at the contrib area. This should be what
you want. It redirects all webtraffic thru the proxy, so all users are using
squid regardless if they have their browsers configured to use it or not.

You schould look in the Howto-area for the Squidguard Howto, I guess, thats what you need. There is a download-file, wich you can unzip and than install the RPMs.
