Title: Adaptec 1540CP/1542CP

Hi!

Anyway to get this scsi controller to work with e-smith ?
I know its a old controller but normally its supported by eg. Mandrake

If you edit /etc/modules.conf and add this line:

alias scsi_hostadapter aha1542

It should work (comment out any other line that has an alias for scsi_hostadapter).

hmm ... i cannot :(

i miss it during install ... its not in the drivers list

And what about to install on a small HDD (1GB) connected to this board?

I see not /etc/modules.conf file during install!
How can I tell SME55B9 about this board?

Hi,

I'm trying to install SME 5.5 on AHA1542 + 1Gb HDD !
Do you have been have to install using your AHA1520 ?
Do you find /etc/modules.conf that Dan talk about?
