Title: Access to my mitel server
Post by: Shayne on October 15, 2003, 11:18:26 AM
People can only access my Mitel server via the default web site and FTP. In a browser if you type:  \mydomain.com or my i.p: \00.00.00.00 then you should get a listing of files I have shared but it just comes back and says page not found.I know my domain DNS is working because if I ping www.mydomain.com it resolves the i.P address. I can't access server-manager either romeotly even though i have this enabled. Anybody have any ideas ?

Thanks in advance.

I know to access server manager remotely you have to access it via SSL (start the url with https:// instead of http://). As for the other type of access you're talking about you need to have "PC file & print sharing" (the smb service) running. You might also try accessing \yourdomain.com or your i.p: \00.00.00.00 by clicking Start->Run and typing it into that instead of typing it into a browser (especially if you're not using Internet Explorer).
