"it" being what?

Have you read the manual?

Have you read the RELEASE-NOTES.txt file from the same place you got the iso file?

I'm thinking he's refering to VPN being installed on SME 6.0b3.  The documentation details the "button" he mentions under user account information.

Isn't the roadwarrior stuff part of servicelink and not the development release?

In any event, I've spent HOURS trying to get IPSec working on my SME 6 machine with absolutely no success.  In the end, I went out and purchased a couple Multitech SOHO VPN routers.

Yes, but the VPN option in the user panel permits the admin to refuse PPTP access to that user in the unsupported release.

Works for us in the commercial version.

Freeswan works well on the unsupported version - a search in the Contribs website will bring up several HowTos etc.  But you will need to download a later version of Freeswan.

Have look at the following recent posting:
http://forums.contribs.org/index.php?topic=8658.msg32470#msg32470

I have a VPN set up between an SME6b3 server at one end and SME5.6 at the other.  It works fine.
