Title: SME56 & Samba 2.2.8

Hi there,

I'm trying to install samba 2.2.8 on SME5.6. During the setup (rpm -Uvh samba2.2.8....) i retrieve dependencies error (glib etc...).

Has anyone downloaded the neccessarry RPM's for samba 2.2.8?

You should use these from Charlie Bradys contribs, see mirror sites

samba-2.2.8a-1es1.i386.rpm
samba-client-2.2.8a-1es1.i386.rpm
samba-common-2.2.8a-1es1.i386.rpm

What dows -1es1 in the filename mean?

It's been modified for support on "e-smith"/mitel boxes.

See the changelog in the RPM to see what changes charlie made.
