Title: blocking internal IP on 5.6
Post by: damjan on October 26, 2003, 10:00:26 AM
Hi,
I would like to block internal IP from ALL internet access on 5.6 but this IP could still use internal network.

And I would like to allow internal IP only web, mail and/or ftp access.

Are this options possibile in 5.6? Some solutions mentioned here are for older version of SME so I guess they won't work with IP tables rules.

IN 5.6 you use iptables like you think and if you want to stop the web block port 80 and any other ports you are using to access the web eg 21 for ftp and so on

you can do all this and more. search for iptables in these fora and you will find how I manage this.
