Title: Installing 2nd Hard disk

My currnet machine has just died so I want to put the hard disk into another machine running SME 5.5. How do I get the second hard disk to mount without loosing any information off it. The original machine was also running SME 5.5

you could use knoppix thats very good for that sorta thing

there is a howto for your problem.
try to search the forum for it.
hint: try "second hard disk" in the search-field.
