Title: IRC problem
Post by: Ari on June 14, 2001, 05:29:51 AM
Hi..
I have a mIRC client running on a win '98 box behind the e-smith server and gateway. Before the e-smith server and gateway went up, I had no problem with DCC send or receive.   Now that the e-smith server and gateway are in place, I can still DCC receive, but I can't send.  I figure it's gotta be port related... any ideas how to fix this?

Thanks
Ari

To make it work, only connect to an IRC server using port 6667. I got it running perfectly that way.

hope this helps

Joren :

It has *NOTHING* to do with what port you are connecting to _on_ irc..its a portrange problem.
