Title: Autentication from a client with Xp Pro
Post by: Andrea on October 30, 2003, 12:44:46 PM
Hi,
I have this problem:
I have configured my SME Server like a "Server only" and I need to have an authentication (login and password) from all users that log on this server using a PC client with Windows XP Professional.
I don't know how I can make it.
I try to declare a domain but the Windows XP produce me a DNS error.

I think that the SME server works fine and I'm able to configure it using the client's browser.

thanks

Check some previous postings on this.  There are a couple of registry settings that need to be changed for XP (I remember "signorseal" is one of them).
