Title: CLAM AV

I installed ClamAV and Amavis and all went on ok. All the tests went fine but it does not appear like it is working when i send the eicar test virus it does not remove it and there is no x virus scanned in the emails but there is no error logs indicating what is going on and the virus scanner appears to start ok what could be happening

You have to restart the server in order to get it working.
I had the same problem and it was solved that way.
Now it works fine.

i looked at my config files and they seamed ok but i retyped all the settings and rebooted and it works.Actually it works really well. I had to add another sub domain and update the conf file and it still works ok thanks for the help
