Title: SME 5.6 + XFS (Kernel ACL)
Post by: gbl on November 18, 2003, 08:36:05 PM
I'm looking for a Kernel Update for SME 5.6 which has included the extended Fileattributs (similar to NTFS).
Searching the whole Internet I don't found any RPM or TAR File which included the right Package based on Kernel 2.4.18-5.

I need this Package for replacing a Windows NT Server. The User shouldn't recognise it that a change was made.

My Question is:
Does anyone had patched the Kernel 2.4.18 sucessfully with ACL or is anyone running successfull a newer Kernel on SME 5.6 with ACL?

Where can I download this Kernel?

Hi, do you know what ACL's do?

There is a need for ACL's. With ACL's you can assign totally individually rights on each file for each user. Similar to NTFS on Windows NT!
