Title: help! with a library

HI, i am in desperate need of the right lib file for SME 5.6
libdl.so.2

i was trying to get a webcam working and hosed this... can someone email it to christophermsmith@mac.com ?

Looks like this library is provided by glibc, don't you have glibc installed by default?  Haven't screwed with 5.6

well. i was trying to get a webcam program running and foolishly did
ldd $(type -p webcam) and copied the libs over.. i thought i'd get a warning from scp but i guess not. perhaps i can rpm in a new glibc..
I was hoping to avoid  a full download and install to get just one library.

You can try using midnight commander to extract the one library you need from the appropriate rpm on the SME install disc.

Thanks Ray.

I could find a libc of .40 last night, so i updated to .44 this fixed everything other than my ssh access...
I am thinking of updating to the beta release..or perhaps restoring from a backup.
